University of Oulu is one of the largest universities in Finland. The Process Metallurgy Research Unit is experienced in the study of reactions, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass and heat transfer phenomena in high-temperature processes. The research areas of the unit cover all the unit processes from raw materials to continuous casting: (1) reduction metallurgy, (2) steelmaking and continuous casting, (3) recycling and sustainable metallurgical processes and (4) new measurement and treatment methods in metallurgy.
